It has now been nearly a month since ULEZ expanded up to the Slough border and many residents are concerned about cameras being erected in and around the town.

In July it was reported that Slough Borough Council permitted ULEZ cameras and signs within the borough to coincide with ULEZ's extended boundary on August 29.

The ULEZ scheme, run by TFL will see non-compliant vehicles who enter the done being charged £12.50 a day.

Those driving a petrol car registered after 2005 typically meet ULEZ standards, and diesel cars registered after September 2015.

The zones are aimed at improving air pollution and improving public health and were first introduced on April 8, 2019, in central London.

Where is the official ULEZ boundary?

As a rule of thumb, most roads inside of the M25 are likely to be covered by new ULEZ rules, however, the M25 itself is not part of ULEZ.

The main road going into ULEZ from Slough, the M4, is not part of ULEZ until junction three when travelling eastbound.

The roundabout at junction three is also exempt from ULEZ, but all exits apart from the M4 westbound are inside the zone.

Heathrow Airport is within the ULEZ zone, including all roads bordering it. At the Terminal Five roundabout, all exits apart from the M25 are inside the zone.

Closer to Slough, the Colnbrook By-Pass enters ULEZ at the junction with Stanwell Moor Road going east. Going west, Colnbrook By-Pass is outside the zone.

When travelling east from Langley, motorists should also be aware that Thorney Mill Road is outside the ULEZ until it goes through Mabey Meadows.

Meanwhile, Iver Lane is outside ULEZ until the junction with the High Street. At that junction, the High Street going south is inside the zone, while going north it is outside the zone. Going north, all roads off the High Street are inside the zone. At the roundabout with Cowley Road, all exits apart from the High Street are inside the zone.

Similarly, the A4007 is outside of ULEZ until the junction with Cowley Road.

Residents of Wraysbury and neighbouring villages will enter ULEZ when going east near Stanwell Moor Road. At the roundabout with Southern Perimeter Road, the exit for Southern Perimeter Road is inside the zone, while the exit for the A3113 is outside the zone. At the roundabout with Bath Road, the exit for Bath Road going east is inside the zone, while the exit for Bath Road going west is outside the zone.

The Bedfont Road is outside the ULEZ until the roundabout with Stanwell Road.
